Introduction to Painting (6-Week Course)
This six-week course is designed for beginners and art enthusiasts interested in learning traditional painting methods. Meeting Tuesday evenings, starting Oct 14, students will explore fundamental tools, materials, and techniques within a supportive environment.

The class introduces painting fundamentals, color mixing (including limited palettes such as the Zorn palette), and classical approaches such as sight-size drawing and value studies. Students will then apply these skills to still life and portrait studies, building a strong foundation in observation and technique. By the end of the course, students will have gained practical experience with classical painting methods and the confidence to continue their artistic development.

Prerequisite: Introduction to Drawing (or equivalent experience).
