Delve into the core elements of art – light, volume, and color – in this engaging 5-day workshop, focused on drawing and painting the live model with an emphasis on accurate observation.
Participants will start by mastering a linear block-in technique, setting a strong foundation for the subsequent rendering stage. A key exploration during this phase is understanding the difference between the physics of light on form and our perception of value.
The workshop breaks down the drawing and painting process into manageable steps, ensuring progress for artists at any level. Throughout, individualized instruction tailors the experience to each participant, complemented by demonstrations by the instructor to showcase effective methodologies.
The goal is to complete a full figure work by the workshop’s end, making it an ideal learning opportunity for both beginners and advanced artists eager to refine their skills in a structured, supportive environment.
